- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Must hold a California State RN License.
- Basic Life Support certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Specific certifications (Neonatal Resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatrics Advanced Life Support) required for RNs assigned to designated units.
- Specialty certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) needed for RN III.
- Minimum 5 years of recent RN experience in a specialty field; RN II requires a minimum of 3 years of acute RN experience.
- Experience in at least two nursing specialties: Adult Med/Surg/Tele/PCU, Adult ICU/PACU, Women's Services, NICU & PICU, or Emergency Services.
- Must hold the position of Clinical Nurse II at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a minimum of one year to qualify for promotion within the clinical ladder.
