    Occupational Therapist

    Hawthorne Country Day School-Manhattan Campus seeks a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team.

    Job Responsibilities

    1. Provide direct treatment to school-age children as outlined in IEP goals and directives.

    2. Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding child progress and assist with home program implementation.

    3. Liaise with institutes of higher education for clinical training purposes.

    4. Coordinate completion and collection of OT reports, goals, and regression summaries.

    5. Ensure all paperwork is compliant with regulatory agencies.

    6. Develop instructional programming to address OT needs of School Age students.

    7. Research and order new equipment and supplies.

    8. Attend parent and staff meetings, as well as in-services offered by Hawthorne Country Day.

    9. Conduct OT evaluations for students when requested.

    10. Comply with NYSED, DOH, and HCDS paperwork requirements.

    Requirements

    • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from a nationally accredited college or university.

    • Experience working with children with Autism/PDD and other developmental disabilities.

    • New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist.

    • Meet Medicaid eligibility standards.

    • Willingness to complete PSI training modules.

    • Ability to provide direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities.
