    Essential Functions & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    The following are the functions essential to performing this job.
    1. Greet people in person.
    2. Answer the phone.
    3. Forward inquires to appropriate office and/or staff.
    4. Assist with student registration.
    5. Respond to verification inquires.
    6. Demonstrate ability to use Microsoft word software to edit, create, proof, and produce documents.
    7. Store files on shared network
    8. Assist with midterm and final grading as needed.
    9. Process withdrawal forms
    10. Assist with commencement activities.
    11. Demonstrates compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
    Other functions
    Individuals in this job may be assigned one or more of the following tasks on a rotating or as-needed basis.
    1. Perform other duties as required.
    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    The individual in this job must possess these skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
    1. Demonstrate ability to type 35 words per minute.
    2. Demonstrate mastery of office practices and procedures
    3. Demonstrate excellent oral and communication skills and ability to deal courteously with the public.
    Qualification Standards
    1. Education: High school graduation or GED Equivalent
    2. Successful experience: Record keeping and data entry; experience using a database; mastery Microsoft word software.
    3. Other preferences: Experience working in a college or university student services office.

    2. Demonstrate ability to use Banner software to process records and registration data.
    3. Demonstrate efficient and courteous customer services.
    4. Demonstrate current knowledge of FERPA.
    5. Provide periodic verbal and/or written project updates to Registrar.
