    Description


    A Material Handler performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

    Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Packages and prepares products for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
    Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory warehouse, distribution center and on manufacturing lines.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    These may include, but are not limited to:Perform shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control functions in a time sensitive mannerProvide updates and performs system transactions for logistic execution, product status, packaging, and sales activitiesPerform receiving functions and advises Purchasing, Logistics and Material Control departments of shortages and overagesStock and label all system transactions to reflect activity associated with both purchased and produced finished goods in proper staging locations, reflecting applicable stock FIFO requirementsAssist with physical cycle counts, variance analysis, and internal and external auditsPerforms other duties as assignedEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE,


    SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    Education & Experience:
    Typically requires 0 - 2 year of experience, and High School Diploma or equivalency, or Bachelor's degree and the equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

    Job Complexity:
    Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment.

    Has little or no role in decision-makingKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, as well as interface well with cross-functional teammates.

    Demonstrated computer literacy including spreadsheet and word processing software. Ability to implement inventory control procedures effectively. This position pays $18-$19 per hour depending on experience.
    This is a fulltime position with benefits and PTO.
