    Description
    Purpose:

    Delta Faucet Company has an opportunity for a hardworking and highly motivated Product Architect Engineer to join our staff. Are you passionate about launching new and innovative products to meet unmet consumer needs? Do you love to mentor and develop others while influencing all area of product development? As part of the Product Engineering team, the Product Architect is an engineering leader responsible for the strategic development and execution of platform and technology roadmaps that position our product lines for leadership in the market. The architect works to solicit and translate customer requirements, develop concepts, and verify solutions.

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead the design, development, and validation of new technologies and platforms within innovation pipeline to address evolving customer needs and business opportunities
    • Serve as a role model and champion for Product Engineering within Delta and across Masco business units by drawing upon design, manufacturing, analytical, and leadership experience to coach, guide, and most importantly, influence others
    • Provide mentorship and training to engineers in engineering principles and approaches, including six sigma methodology
    • Create and oversee overall platform architecture strategy and technology roadmap in alignment with Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Product Marketing roadmaps
    • Interpret corporate and functional strategies along with competitive market analysis to refine technology and platform roadmaps
    • Ownership of process defining and tracking translation of voice of customer into engineering requirements
    • Perform concept selection analyses and make recommendations based on results
    • Engage in and lead critical initiatives needed to position business for future success
    • Maintain a positive demeanor and outlook when confronted with challenges
    Education & Experience:
    • Possess a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university and have 10+ years of engineering experience
    • Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills along with the ability to simplify complex problems.
    • Previous experience in a systems engineering practitioner role with knowledge of systems engineering tools, techniques, and standard methodologies
    • Familiarity with rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes, including injection molding, die casting, stamping, 3D printing, finishing, and assembly
    • Experience with engineering modeling software, including 3D CAD, FEA, and CFD
    • Experience with design for manufacturability, cost estimation, GD&T, DFMEA, PPAP and design verification and validation
    • Strong technical knowledge in consumer product development process
    • Experience translating VOC to VOE to system and sub-system requirements
