This is a part-time position that requires both day and night shifts. - Bathing assist bed bath tub bath shower sitz body mechanics turn position transfer-chair stretcher use lifts assist ambulation range motion exercises nutrition prepare patient meal time feed patients measure intake output prepares snacks assists meals elimination bedpan urinal bowel bladder retraining collect test specimens perineal catheter care apply condom catheter douches enemas insert rectal tubes flatus bags empty drainage devises body cavities wounds maintain gastric suction safety side rails call rails mitts restraints CPR Heimlich maneuver infection control hand washing isolation techniques universal precautions special procedures vital signs temperature oral rectal axillary pulse radial apical respirations BP height weight application heat cold prevention care decubitus ulcers surgical skin preps scrubs clean dressing changes apply ace bandages TEDs binders postmortem care assist cough deep breathing housekeeping services necessary health safety patient family caregiver participates interdisciplinary team conferences IDT special case conferences performs personal care ADL noted delivery patient care plus sterile dressing wounds over hours old wound irrigation ostomy ostomy irrigation insertion urinary catheter limited replacement existing catheter once Nursing assessment completed oxygen therapy room set-up monitoring flow-rate if functioning NA NA NA I provides personal ADL noted delivery patient care plus breaking fecal impaction assemble flush tubing during setup monitoring flowrate site car dressing change discontinuing peripheral intravenous infusions nutritional activities oral nasogastric infusions placement verification licensed nurse gastrostomy feedings clamping tubes removing oral nasogastric feeding tubes suctioning oropharyngeal nasopharyngeal tracheostomy interdisiplinary Team attends participates interdisciplinary team conferences IDT special case conferences assumes responsibility establishing maintaining effective working relationships team members able identify specific patient caregivers needs make referral appropriate team members documentation ensures accurate complete succinct timely clinical documentation HPCCR guidelines licensure certification standards professional personal accountability demonstrates competency knowledge skills ensures VIA professional reputation maintained projected assumes responsibility professional development staying abreast current trends healthcare field incorporates new information methods practice maintains current professional licensure CPR certification CEU requirements maintains productive professional relationships external agencies healthcare providers exhibits time management skills plan workday respond crisis may perform duties required LDHH cleans patient rooms required procedure ensures areas facility clean appropriately stocked supplies keeps family room clean throughout day ensures proper chemicals used cleaning different surfaces uses protective equipment gloves glasses
