Job DescriptionChipton-Ross is seeking a Inventory Control Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Miami, OK.
SUMMARY:
As an Inventory Coordinator I, you will be responsible for following all standard operating procedures (SOP's) to complete all internal and external customer requests. Position will be in one of the functional areas of the warehouse including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work safely following all safety requirements.
· Receiving, examining, sorting, arranging, counting, storing, picking, and packing items for storage or ship in accordance with established SOP procedures and customer requirements.
· Maneuvers picking cart or powered industrial truck to various locations throughout the facility to locate materials and fulfill orders.
· Prepares accurate documentation requirements for packing and shipping of hazardous chemicals.
· Practices good housekeeping and keeps inventory neat, clean, and orderly.
· Verifies accurate storage conditions of products and notifies Supervisor of any inventory issues that may arise such as Can't Find, Expired Product, Breakage, and Out-Of-Stocks.
· Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction maintain collaborative relationships and teamwork.
· Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Up to 6 months of work experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
· All employees must be able to read and follow instructions both written and oral
· Strong attention to detail
· General warehouse experience.
· Experience with operating a powered industrial truck (cherry picker).
· Experience with computers and scanning equipment preferred
· Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus
· Able to work independently and possess problem solving abilities.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
· Strong verbal/written communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
· Ability to stand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
· Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene, including labels and SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
· Flexibility/willingness to adapt to operational needs
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced controlled environment with additional overtime as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
· Lifts, carries, pulls, and pushes up to 40-70 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally with or without assistance.
· Specific PPE is required; including gloves, hair & beard net, safety glasses with no makeup/jewelry, and the like
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
· Certification of Forklift license is a must
EDUCATION:
Minimum of Accredited High School Diploma or GED
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time; Second Shift.
