    Description

    Pediatrics Nurse

    • Provide safe and direct care to a group of assigned patients
    • Implement individualized care plans with consideration for age-specific needs, including discharge planning and patient/family education
    • Participate in orientation and mentor new personnel
    • Administer medication, including IV medication, and document clinical findings
    • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families according to standards
    • Promote patient safety by identifying and reporting/correcting environmental conditions or situations that may put patients at risk
    • Encourage patients to actively participate in their care and adhere to patient-centered medical practices

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate of nationally accredited nursing program
    • Minimum 1 year of related experience
    • Current RN license in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement
    • CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers or Professional Rescuers certification
    • Nationally certified in area of specialty, PALS, TNCC and/or ENPC preferred
    • Heavy work demands requiring physical exertion
    • Working with biohazardous materials may require PPE
