    Summary:

    The Superintendent position manages Preston Refrigeration's ongoing projects onsite and oversees employees to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines and schedules are being met.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a daily job site log and hold project safety meetings.
    • Attend daily General Contractor planning meetings.
    • Review and understand construction drawings and blueprints.
    • Coordinate all construction services and activities with Preston Refrigeration staff.
    • Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.
    • Ensure construction is on schedule and make changes as necessary.
    • Communicate directly with project manager to ensure all materials arrive as required.
    • Willingness to travel as needed throughout the continental US.
    • Ensures that proper safety training and incident reporting procedures are followed, alerts the Safety Director if there are any concerns.
    • Adheres to Preston Refrigeration guidelines for expense reports and submits to Payroll Specialist in a timely manner.
    • Maintain a neat and clean appearance and motivated, positive attitude.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma; 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems required.
    • Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel.
    • Experience of leading a team of individuals through projects to completion.
    • Clean MVR and able to maintain clean MVR.
    • Ability to travel 90-100% of the time with overnight stays when required.
    • Effective communication skills.
