    Description

    Johnson City Medical Center is looking for a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join their Trauma Med/Surg team.

    • SCOPE OF POSITION

    The role of the Certified Nursing Assistant involves providing direct patient care and supportive services under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include bedside care, nursing procedures, supply management, equipment maintenance, and transportation of patients. Additionally, the role entails assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and documenting patient information.

    • Responsibilities include:

    - Assisting with Activities of Daily Living

    - Changing bed linens and assisting with patient transfers

    - Observing and reporting any skin issues

    - Recording vital signs and reporting abnormalities

    - Performing blood glucose monitoring

    - Handling basic clerical tasks within the unit

    - Adhering to departmental training and competency requirements

    - Being adaptable to changing work environments

    • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    - Three years of experience in a hospital/medical setting

    - Active CNA licensure in the appropriate state

    - AHA BLS certification required

    - Candidates at least 17 years old and meeting specific educational criteria will be considered

    This is a full-time night position requiring flexibility and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients at Johnson City Medical Center.
