    This is a full time (1.0 FTE) position that operates on the 12-month work schedule.

    Position Purpose The Classification and Compensation Program Manager designs, implements, and manages consistent, transparent, equitable District-wide classification and compensation systems and strategies.

    The person in this position partners with organizational leaders to recommend and activate classification and compensation strategies and processes that support effective positioning of employees, competitive compensation, and employee retention through avenues of career mobility.

    The Classification and Compensation Program Manager leads resolution of complex classification and compensation challenges as well as managing day-to-day requests and needs, such as developing job specifications and descriptions that meet district needs, performing complex job analyses, providing ongoing updates to the classification and compensation structure, leading the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and ensuring compensation philosophies and practices are transparent, equitable, and aligned.

    Supervisory Relationship This position is supervised by the Director of Human Resources, operating with autonomy under the general strategic direction of the Director.

    This role does not directly supervise others but provides team leadership around the coordination of classification and compensation requests and relevant workgroup efforts.
