Mazak Corporation is looking for a Field Service Support Technician to join the Field Service team at our Southwest Technology Center located in Houston, TX. This position will have the responsibility to provide technical phone and digital support on Mazak Machines. Communicates with customers and other stakeholders and ensures exceptional service support is provided in accordance with corporate metrics and guidelines.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
Answer technical questions from customers, field service technicians, vendor / distributor technicians
Provide technical support that is commensurate with the ability of the person or persons to safely perform the recommended task or procedure
Evaluate situation at customer to determine what resources if any are needed to resolve the situation
Ensures customers receive a tangible response within prescribed corporate guidelines
Thoroughly documents summary of all customer calls in D365 including the correct contacts and list of further actions
Compile service history reports for product improvement and customer requests
Interact with Customers and other Mazak Associates.
Read / Interpret engineering drawings
Some travel may be required
Utilizes excellent call center / customer relationship skillset.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
Two years experience is required
Two-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly is preferred
Four to Six years' experience in the field or a related position is preferred
Microsoft Office experience

Experience4 - 6 years: Experience in Field Service or related position preferred (preferred)
