    Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - Radiology Tech PRN

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team in Radiology. This is a part-time per diem position working variable shifts as needed.

    • Takes x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and provides support for the imaging department.

    Responsibilities:

    • Explains procedures to patients ensuring understanding, providing educational material when necessary.
    • Transports patients to clinical areas, verifies patient identity according to policies and procedures, assists technologists with preparing patients for radiology exams by positioning them correctly.
    • Filing, delivering and retrieving patient reports charts matching films folders delivery reports patient units physicians adhering radiation safety guidelines preventing unnecessary exposure monitoring protocols recommending updates refinements warranted high-quality images documents sent PACS lead markers correct data/history submitting promptly ensures equipment functioning reporting potential problems malfunctions personnel locking/tagging equipment appropriate works safe alert manner constant standing walking frequent use vision depth perception near far hearing speech sharing information oral communication distinguishing body sounds alarms malfunctioning machinery etc occasional lifting moving objects weighing 25-50 lbs colors kneeling sitting rare pushing pulling objects weights uses keyboard data entry view identify distinguish list below
      Certifications/Licenses: BLS HCP AHA ARRT-R RT Illinois IEMA R T temporary Accreditation Missouri Oklahoma Wisconsin or Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider American Heart Association AND Radiologic Technologists American Registry of Radilogists State Work Location required certifications/profession licenses.
