    Job DescriptionWe are partnered with our client, a world class organization producing for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical diagnostics and process industries has partnered with us to recruit a Value Stream Manager for their location in the Greater Cambridge/Boston area.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, other Technical discipline
    • Prior Value Stream, Supply Chain Product Management, Engineering Development or Plant Operations Management experience
    • Background in technical, complex manufacturing operations, such as Injection Molding or Extrusion
    • Cleanroom (ISO Class 7) experience is preferred
    • Industry experience in Life Science, Medical Devices, Biopharma or other Engineering related industries
    • Six Sigma Black Belt or a Green Belt working towards a Black Belt
    • Operational Excellence requirement knowledge
    • Experience in optimization and validation of products and processes
    • Has managed, built and supported a cross-functional team
    This role will:
    • Be a member of Senior Site Leadership to drive culture, employee engagement.
    • Be responsible for the P&L for the Value Stream, analytics, and cost improvement activities, implementing and driving continuous improvement.
    • Create vision for the Value Streams best in class safe and lean operation
    • Be responsible for the production planning, material sourcing, quality control, product test, customer technical support operations in collaboration with the other site and functional leadership teams.
    • Forecasting and planning manufacturing growth including floorspace, equipment capacity, tooling, and labour required to meet quantities and schedules.
    • Require leadership and engineering skills in a lean and self-directed team environment to start-up and manage this operation relocating from the West Coast.
    • Lead the Value Stream through the start up phase; equipment installation, process verification, product qualification, ensuring ongoing health, safety and well-being of the team.
    • Engage in project management activities and supply technical input to new product proposals and projects, ensuring continuous product optimization and validation.
    • Engage with UK subject matter experts to leverage expertise towards product realization.
    • Influence others with a Lean coaching approach
    • Support of the team on a broad range of analysis including Value Stream Mapping, queueing analysis, production planning and control, SMED, process flow diagrams, FMEA, best practice problem solving and quality function deployment.
