Residential Support Specialist
**Location:** Mens Building or Sparrows Nest
**FLSA:** Hourly non -exempt Lead Residential Support Specialist
**Purpose:** Residential Support Specialist is responsible for completing all aspects of the day-to-day Housing needs and responsibilities. This position works closely with the Lead Residential Support Specialist to execute policies, procedures, and systems to ensure high quality operations in support of programming.
All staff members at Cherry Street perform their job duties in the context of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is our express purpose to minister to individuals (I.e. staff, volunteers, donors, guests) through the practical discipleship steps of eliminating poverties of spirit, soul and body.
**Essential Functions:**
Effectively support residential guests and guest volunteer opportunities
Ensure that necessary forms, reports, and case notes are properly completed and contain correct information
Perform and lead others in building janitorial
Assist Guest Support Specialist with check-in and morning wake-up calls
Effectively perform and lead others in pest control measures
Give consistent oversight to building safety and security, offering recommendations for improvement where needed.
Perform and lead others in building groundskeeping
Perform transportation when necessary
Perform and lead others in commercial and residential laundry
Perform and lead others in meal distribution
Ensure proper reporting measures for building maintenance
Ensure guest safety and collaborate with coworkers to maintain an environment that is safe, clean, and redemptive
Encourage Guests as they are working toward their goals in collaboration with the Ready for Life Program
Responsible for working in collaboration with Guest Support Specialist to ensure Guest needs are met

**Qualifications** Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong professional demeanor
Experience working in an environment that serves a culturally diverse adult population
Demonstrated ability to forge effective relationships with staff, guests, and community agencies
Must have the ability to remain calm in crisis situations
Proven ability to handle a multitude of tasks and prioritize by level of need
Ability to take initiative and self-driven to complete goals and tasks
Must have high regard for building cleanliness
Must be highly organized, have excellent and timely interpersonal communication skill
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Licenses, Certificates, and Other Requirements Mental Health First Aid Certification preferred De-escalation training preferred
CPR training preferred
Narcan training preferred
Valid Drivers license required

Lifting Requirements
