    Who will you be working with? The Technical Manufacturing Manager supervises our hourly production workers who support manufacturing of the best locomotives and parts that move the world.

    The Technical Manufacturing Manager is responsible for safely leading a team to assemble products to Wabtec's quality standards.

    The Manager is also responsible for ensuring that his/her team is working efficiently and effectively, providing high quality products and customer service to Wabtec's stakeholders.

    How will you make a difference? As a member of the operations teams, you will be responsible for managing supply chain activities addressing; EHS, Quality, TOP, delivery, and compliance concerns for a given manufacturing facility.

    The Technical Manufacturing Manager has direct responsibility for manufacturing process and financial costs. Is responsible to Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization. Involved in both short-term and Mid-term production planning. Develop & maintain manufacturing methods & create process routings.
    Support Design / build / procurement of necessary tooling & finishing within budgets. Support equipment upgrades from purchase through installation.
    Drive cost productivity in functional area thru' process validation & equipment changes / modificationSupport EHS projects in cell.
    Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment. Identify & reduce sources of labor efficiency variations. Identify & reduce product quality issues caused by process variation. Support the quality function through integration of ISO / QC documentation & Manufacturing methods Instructions.
    • Lead high impact process & quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects & increased productivity in the Cell.
    Attend weekly cross-functional quality sessions & track / drive root cause analysis & corrective actions for Cell issues. Utilize lean-manufacturing principles & participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, & increase capacity.

    Drive production matrices with Safety & Compliance CultureDevelop & establish Shopfloor teams for the plant to deliver production as per business objectives.

    What do we want to know about you? A qualified candidate will be considered based on:

    Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5+ years of operational experience, especially in a manufacturing environmentStrong background in the interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications & manufacturing processes.

    Knowledge on processes & specification / Drawing interpretationsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with diverse team members.

    Having working experience of Oracle / SAP ERPs for Shop planning & execution-3-5 years of experience with SolidWorks, detail drawings for sheet metal assemblies, weldments, and bolted assemblies.

    Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP system.
    Experience in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, 5S, or Six Sigma.
    Must have the skills to prepare a wide variety of engineering reports and documentation.
    Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
    What will your typical day look like? Providing leadership and direction to the flow leaders and hourly team leads.
    Maintain a safe work environment by providing training and enforcement of corporate and site initiatives, rules, and guidelines. Promote product quality through proper employee training, completion of training records, and ensuring our standard operating procedures are followed.
    Delivering production on schedule, to meet both internal and external customer demand.

    Driving continuous improvement by engaging people in active problem solving, by analyzing trends to solve the root cause of problems.

    Managing the operation to meet business financial plans. Utilize data to discover trends and eliminate sources of product defects.

    You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
