- Meets with students in individual and group coaching sessions; partners with them to encourage and support them in achieving their wellbeing goals, maximizing their holistic potential, and implementing changes that are aligned with the student's values.
- Manages professional communication, follow-up, and record-keeping for each client, upholding ethical standards for coaches and honoring the privacy of their clients.
- Collaborates with campus partners in order to provide coordinated care and holistic support and resources for the client.
- Campus partners may include:
- Contributes to community outreach and training to promote, educate, and develop skills related to student wellbeing.
- Participates in regular consultation and coordination meetings with colleagues.
- Engages in the assessment of utilization, efficacy, and impact of wellbeing coaching on Emory student population.
- May create and deliver relevant reports on coaching program and client themes to supervisor for assessment of systemic wellbeing climate and potential implementations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree and one year of related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Certification in coaching (e.g., International Coaching Federation [ICF], National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach [NBC-HWC], Board Certified Coach [BCC]) is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in coaching skills, strategies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to act in accordance with ethical standards for certified coaches.
- Knowledge of how to keep timely, accurate, and ethical records consistent with coaching best practices and in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

The Wellbeing Coach provides individual coaching to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at Emory University, collaborating with them to identify holistic needs, set goals, reduce barriers, brainstorm solutions, and create action plans in alignment with students' values.
This position is a member of the team of professionals within the Center for Student Wellbeing in Campus Life, which is focused on holistic health promotion, upstream prevention, and wellbeing education.
The Center for Student Wellbeing is a part of the Health, Wellbeing, Access, and Prevention portfolio including Counseling and Psychological Services, Office of Health Promotion, Office of Respect, and Student Health Services.
