Experienced Automotive Technician - Seaford DE

i.g Burton Auto Group of Seaford De is looking to add qualified, experienced auto service technicians to fulfill repair, warranty, and maintenance orders on vehicles. Job Responsibilities

Teamwork with our technicians, service advisors, parts department, managers, and at times customer interaction is essential. Our techs need to have ability to perform accurate and efficient professional diagnostic inspections, repair work, ensure proper completion of work, follow protocols by manufacturer and dealership.

• Examineand accurately assess/diagnose vehicles using system diagnostice and testing
• Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor
• Communicate additional service requests to service advisor
• Plan work in cooperation with shop foreman
• Perform thorough, efficient, timely and quality repair work
• Monitor repair time and update service advisor
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care, operation and safety standards
• Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
• Assist in mentoring technician trainees
• Attend company and factory training
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)

Qualification/Experience

• Ability to diagnose and repair automotive mechanical problems efficiently
• ASE Certification
• Need to be able to lift, bend, stand and move without impairment and operate shop tools
• Professionalism
• Must be able to pass background check, driving records, and drug test
