    Description
    Job Duties/Responsibilities
    • Perform daily reconciliation of the bank accounts, accurately apply cash payments to the proper customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Communicate current cash receipts and AR balances to management on a weekly basis.
    • Prepare monthly manual journal entries related to the bank accounts, bad debt calculation, T&E expenses and other duties as assigned for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing (typically first 7 days of the month).
    • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies through monthly account reconciliations of accounts receivable, bank, deferred revenue and sales tax payable accounts as well as other accounts as needed.
    • Review monthly revenue invoices to ensure compliance with revenue recognition requirements.
    • Prepare and file sales tax payments/refunds based on the month's revenue invoices, ensuring accuracy of the sales tax amounts charged to customers.
    • Provide support for internal and external financial audits by following established procedures and maintaining proper documentation as required by internal controls. Provide requested information on a timely basis as needed throughout the year.
    • Support the sales teams as needed by providing customer statements of account, notifications of payments received and responding to customer reference requests.
    • Interface with management in various departments, providing information and various analyses on a timely basis.
    • Support special projects or financial analysis when needed by management.
    • Support initiatives for process improvements such as accounts receivable reporting, revenue recognition review, expense analysis or other opportunities.
    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Skills/Knowledge
    • Possesses and applies knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
    • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills; high level of accuracy, accountability and integrity.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Advanced PC skills, including intermediate Excel capabilities, such as pivot tables and advanced formulas.
    • Ability to handle multiple activities successfully with minimal supervision.
    • Previous accounts receivable or general accounting experience with data analysis skills required.
    Education
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
    Experience
    • 5+ years of experience or Master's Degree in Accounting / Finance.
