answering technical questions received from the telephone call queue, the website and email system
Troubleshooting, diagnosing and quickly resolving issues end users are having in the field
Documenting all calls in our Great Plains ERP system so the recorded information may be used for future analysis
Provide parts order identification for customers and service providers
Provide customers and service providers programming and calibration assistance
Create and process return authorizations in the ERP system
Participate in the review of returned components and equipment to verify cause of failure and proper field diagnoses
Participate in the review and redesign of users guides and parts manuals
Create recommended spare parts lists for distribution
Participate in the training of internal and/or external sales and service personnel
Aid in the development and improvement of the training program
Aid in identifying developing trend indicators in field failures
Be an active member of the Quality Improvement Team, helping identify potential quality improvement opportunities
Hours:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits ranging from 5-24VDC to VAC single and three phase
experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment
reading a wiring diagram
Computer skills
NICE HAVES:
Line Voltage knowledge / Using Multimeter tool
Low voltage electronics troubleshooting
trace wire harnesses and know where and how to measure low and high voltage to be able to help the technician or end user on the phone to diagnose the issue with their equipment.
Food equipment troubleshooting (ideally coffee machines or ice makers)
Microsoft Dynamics ERP
Inbound/outbound phone skills
SOFT SKILLS:
Ability to problem solve
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented
