    Description
    Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

    Location: Bremerton, WA

    Hours: 37.5 per week

    Dates: ASAP - June 17th, 2024

    Responsibilities:

    • Create an optimal learning environment catering to the diverse needs of all students.
    • Actively participate in group decisions and collaborative efforts with staff members.
    • Work within teams to deliver effective instruction to students.
    • Implement systematic instructional methods tailored to meet individual student requirements.
    • Engage in purposeful planning for instructional activities aligned with District and State guidelines.
    • Collaborate with administration and staff to address challenges and foster a supportive work environment.
    • Demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning, positive self-esteem, and respect for others.
    • Uphold high personal, professional, and instructional standards for both oneself and students.
    • Adhere to the Washington Code of Professional Conduct.
    • Fulfill any additional duties as required or requested.

    Qualifications:

    • Possession of a current Washington State Special Education Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
    • Firm belief in the potential of all students to learn.
    • Dedication to continuous improvement and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
    • Familiarity with Common Core State Standards, various assessment tools, Response to Intervention (RTI), and the CEL 5D+ Instructional Framework is preferred.
    • Sensitivity to and proficiency in working with a diverse student population.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.
    • Genuine passion for working with students of all backgrounds.
    • Demonstrated success in working with students at the appropriate grade level and in the relevant subject area.
    • Understanding of child growth and development needs.
