The US Oncology Network is looking for a Patient Benefits Representative to join their team at Texas Oncology in McAllen. This full-time position will support the Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology Departments at their clinic on S. 2nd Street.This role will involve educating patients on insurance coverage and benefits assessing patients' financial ability may educate patients on assistance programs updating existing patient new insurance eligibility coverage benefits in system supports adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program Code of Ethics Business Standards US Oncology's Shared Values..
- Prior to a patient receiving treatment obtains insurance coverage information demographics educates patient on insurance coverage benefits co-pays deductibles out-of-pocket expenses assesses patients ability meet expenses discusses payment arrangements may educates patients financial assistance programs identifies sources provides assistance completing forms based diagnosis estimated insurance coverage financial assistance completes Patient Cost Estimate form forwards appropriate information forms billing office responsible obtaining Clinical Reviewer pre-authorization referral approval codes prior each treatment review patient account balance notifies front desk meets with ensures correctly entered into system conveyed collects appropriately verifies updates demographics insurance coverage computer system Standard Operating Procedures SOPs stays current available financial aide develops professional relationships networks leads other aide providers maintains confidentiality state federal HIPAA laws guidelines regards patents records maintains updated manuals logs documentation performs additional duties requested assigned.
