    Mechanical Design Engineer, Mid-Level Experience-Defense Industry-Onsite Position

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer, Staff level- 5 years of experience to join our team in Monsey, NY

    As our Mechanical Design Engineer, you will propose adequate technical solutions, design all relevant mechanical structures and provide technical support to other Engineers, Purchasing, Suppliers, Quality Control and Production throughout the product development and manufacturing.

    Salary Information:$78,800.00 to $113,800.00

    Your Challenge:
    • Review and analyze customer needs and propose adequate technical solutions. Interact with the Customer and provide technical support throughout the life of the product.
    • Design all relevant mechanical structures, leveraging his/her knowledge of sheet metal/ machined/extruded parts in bolted/welded assemblies.
    • Select materials and finishes assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements.
    • Perform Finite Element Analyses and implement findings in the final design. Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics analyses and implement findings in the final design.
    • Provide technical support to other Engineers, Purchasing, Suppliers, Quality Control and Production throughout the product development and manufacturing. May from time to time be called upon to act as the Project Lead for selective contracts.
    What You Bring:
    • Proficiency in SolidWorksTM. Required.
    • Familiar with MIL Standards.
    • Proven ability to manage, understand and appreciate the values of Quality, Cost and Schedules.
    • In this role, you must demonstrate written and verbal customer-facing communication skills.
    • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized accredited University is required.
    • A minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience in the design of rugged electronics enclosures and consoles or in a similar position is required.
    • CW 901D is a Defense Contractor; U.S. Citizenship is required.
