    Summary:

    The Office Assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating office operations, providing clerical support, and aiding in the maintenance of files and data activities efficiently. Specifically within the Medical Staff Administration, this position ensures seamless office flow, coordinates credentialing duties for new Medical Staff members and Allied Health Professionals, and offers clerical assistance as required.

    Job Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care facility or large healthcare organization

    Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

    Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently

    Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred

    Familiarity with Information systems and Medical Staff credentialing is advantageous

    Completion of Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) is required

    Certification as a Professional in Medical Services Management (NAMSS) is preferred

    Job Accountabilities:

    Coordinate office functions including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling catering requests.

    Assist in the maintenance of the Medical Staff Administration Page on the Intranet.

    Transcribe meeting minutes and daily huddle notes accurately.

    Manage inventory of supplies and handle requests from external affiliations.

    Support the Director by scheduling meetings as needed.

    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards and confidentiality laws.

    Assist in IT tasks and database management related to Medical Staff Administration.

    Facilitate the onboarding process for new Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals.

    Uphold hospital core values and project cooperation to all customer groups.

    Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
