    As a Rail & Transit Project Manager your primary responsibility is to lead a team in the successful delivery of assigned projects. Experience in managing multiple projects, subconsultants, contract administration, pay application review, scheduling, estimating, and overall project management is required. We are seeking a goal driven individual with the desire to grow their career in project and program management.

    Your impact:
    • Perform both in the office and in the field on contract administration duties including plan development, contract management, constructability reviews, budget management, record keeping, change negotiations, quality, resource management, and project documentation.
    • The ability to identify and manage safety and quality performance per assigned tasks.
    • Responsible for contact and relationship development with clients, partners, and contractors.
    • Manage and deliver successful projects by monitoring field progress, contractor's compliance with the contract, developing and leading a team of professionals.
    • Assist supervisors and employees with time management and short-term workload planning.
    • Sustain and enhance technical expertise in the areas of Project Management and Construction Services.
    • Ability to analyze contracts, plans and specification and make decisions for clients about how to proceed with project issues.
    • Understanding of Chicago/Midwest transit and transportation markets and ability to identify potential opportunities.
    • Thorough understanding Quality Control and Assurance responsibilities.
    Who you are:
    • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college.
    • 10 plus years of transit. municipal or transportation engineering experience and construction management experience.
    • Must understand contracts, plans, special provisions, and documents as related to transit construction and have a functional understanding and ability to learn contract administration and project management software.
    • 8 or more years of experience with knowledge of material properties, DOT specifications and contract administration practices, prior design/build experience preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must possess valid drivers' license.
