    Job Summary

    Our client is seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to oversee the strategic and operational aspects of property management activities across 22 properties in Michigan. Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will lead a team of Regional Managers and indirectly manage Property Managers, Maintenance Technicians, and Leasing Agents. This role requires a strong focus on operational efficiency, resident satisfaction, and financial success, with the expectation of transitioning into an Integrator role to harmonize various functional areas and drive company-wide operational growth.

    Responsibilities
    • Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure properties meet quality, efficiency, and profitability standards.
    • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement plans enhancing operational efficiency and scalability.
    • Team Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop regional and site managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Performance Management: Monitor property performance, identify improvement areas, and implement strategies for operational optimization.
    • Financial Oversight: Work with Finance to manage budgets, control expenses, and ensure financial health.
    • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with residents, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
    • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure properties comply with legal/regulatory requirements, minimizing organizational risks.
    • Integration: Act as an Integrator to synchronize company goals with operational execution, ensuring departmental cohesion.
    Requirements
    • Degree: Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.
    • Field Experience: Extensive experience in property management or related field.
    • Software Experience: Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office suite.
    • Management Experience: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
