Description
Applewood Centers is a nonprofit agency offering mental health services, social services, and education to children, adolescents, and families in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Focused on addressing various behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges, we provide a range of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.
Position Description: Seeking a licensed clinician to deliver intensive in-home and community-based counseling and CPST services to children and families. Responsibilities include behavioral health counseling, assessments, and building positive relationships with clients. The role also involves assisting with skill development, anger management, and addressing mental and emotional concerns. Flexibility in scheduling to meet family needs is key.
Qualifications: A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, along with licensure as LSW, LPC, or MFT, is required. Prior experience providing mental health services to children and families in home or community settings is essential. Knowledge of Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is a plus. Candidates must be willing to travel to families and have evening availability.
