Job summary
The Operations Supervisor provides direct supervision for a specific work shift of all waste handling activities including sampling analysis processing documentation and disposition.The responsibility includes supervising inventory compliance maintaining supplies coordinating with vendors transporters and treatment facilities directing off-loading operations for receipt of materials into storage waste processing systems ensuring safe effective treatment of wastes by providing collection analysis of waste samples from inbound trucks treating simulation truck samples making decisions consistent with waste profile data facility operating permits determining batch clearance approvals filtering effluent collecting post-treatment samples wastes notifying appropriate facility personnel maintenance plant transportation equipment reviewing signing RCRA manifests ensuring abide safety rules procedures training facility personnel emergency response operations relating activities conducted site transportation activities involving equipment personnel directly supervising employees assigned carrying out supervisory responsibilities accordance policies applicable laws interviewing hiring training employees planning assigning directing work appraising performance rewarding disciplining employees addressing complaints resolving problems performing related duties assigned.
