    Qualifications:
    Must have a current RN license. Will consider applicants with ADN and BSN

    Position Function:


    Purpose:

    The School Nurse along with the Health Services Coordinator helps students attain an optimum level of physical, social and emotional health.

    In order to coordinate a comprehensive student health program, the School Nurse must work closely with the District Nurse Coordinator, staff and administration of the district.

    Health Services Coordinator/Principal


    Essential Functions:
    1.

    Keep the Health Services Coordinator informed of health conditions concerning students and staff which are considered more serious than "minor" OR which exceeds their level of training.

    2. Maintain confidentiality without fail. However, in the event of suspected child abuse or neglect, the proper authorities will be notified.
    3. Help students attain an optimum level of physical, social, and emotional health.
    4.

    At the direction of the Health Services Coordinator maintain a comprehensive health program for students, parents, and employees of the district.

    5. Ensure that all activities conform to district guidelines.
    6. Communicate effectively with members of the district and community.
    7. Work effectively with community organizations.
    8. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
    9. Appropriately operate all equipment as required.
    10. Support the value of life-long learning.


    Starting Salary: Half of $44,021/year - commensurate with degrees held and years of experience

    Requirements:
    All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.

    Must submit a pre employment physical prior to first day of work.
