Summary:

Chatham Clinical Lab is looking for a full-time Medical Lab Tech to join their team. The role involves conducting various patient tests and supporting clinical activities within the UNC Healthcare System.

Hours: 10:00am - 6:30pm

Responsibilities:
- Provide instructions to patients for fasting before tests and address their queries.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Assist in training Clinical Laboratory Science students, Pathology residents, and new employees.
- Oversee daily laboratory operations.
- Engage in special projects individually or as part of a team.
- Conduct routine tests, prepare specimens, analyze results, and ensure proper specimen storage.
- Prepare reagents, monitor levels, and manage supply inventory.
- Record and report test results accurately.

Education Requirements:
● Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Science, or Biological Science.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● ASCP or AMT Board of Certification eligibility for Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technician degree holders. BOC certification required within a year.
● ASCP or MLT (AMT) Board of Certification (BOC) mandatory for chemical or biological science degree holders.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● No prior experience necessary.
