    Semi OEM

    Application Engineer 2 at INFICON is responsible for assisting with advanced applications related to INFICON products. They offer technical assistance to both field staff and customers, ensuring the correct deployment and support of INFICON products.

    Individuals at this level possess a deep understanding of the market's processes, equipment and challenges that the company's products address.

    This position requires individuals to work autonomously and be capable of independently devising and implementing solutions to issues with minimal supervision.

    Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance for existing INFICON product installations at customer sites.

    This involves conducting essential data analysis concerning VCP and other products, as well as effectively triaging issues with VCP and other products.

    Trouble shooting of INFICON equipment and applications with ability to find root cause failure. Design and conduct tests (either in-house or at customer locations) to evaluate Vacuum Control products for particular applications. Report test results to internal and external customers.

    Work with KAM, Sr. Application Engineer, Account Team, and BU to understand requirements and achieve project objectives.

    Deploy and support sensor integration on broad array of semiconductor process equipment.

    Provide technical assistance within areas of specialty for customers.

    Provide written and oral feedback to the customer on applications work including process troubleshooting, recipe development, and installation procedures.

    Identify unexplored process areas where INFICON sensors and software can add value to the customer.

    Provide written and oral feedback to onsite account Manager on weekly activities, customer requests, needs and requirements.


    Qualifications:
    Qualifications

    Bachelor of Science degree in (Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Mechanical) with 2-5+ years' work experience preferably in Semiconductors

    Solid understanding of Semiconductor Processes and OEM tools including PVD and CVD, understanding of ALD and Etch is desirable.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both external and internal customer relationships.

    Ability to adapt to various field situations and to foster strong relationships with internal and external customers.

    Requires strong Analytical Skills and Critical Thinking to Solve Complex Problems

    Ability to travel (approximately 20-25%), both domestically and internationally.

    Additional Information

    For California, the expected salary range for this position is between

    $60,000 and $120,000 per year.

    In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%.

    The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law
