    The Ultra Supply Chain function manages the processes associated with Indirect and Direct Procurement of goods and materials required to meet the operational demands of the business and the logistics of ensuring that materials are available for operations, and the completed products/services are delivered to the customer.

    Responsible for all aspects of material planning, scheduling, and procurement to support customer delivery requirements.

    The buyer/planner is responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the company's needs for materials and services, fixed assets and tooling and select production materials and services.

    These products and services are to be secured at cost, quality, and delivery consistent with company policy and performance standards.

    The position is further responsible for the timely planning, scheduling, receipt and inventory control of the products and services as assigned consistent with requirements of the company.


    Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

    Responsible for all the Planning and Purchasing tasks associated, as assigned.


    • Initiates purchase orders and amendments for all parts and services.
    • Expedite production orders and purchase orders as needed and communicate delivery problems immediately to the appropriate personnel within the organization.
    • Support Sales and Customer Services to provide necessary information needed to respond to customer request for quotation and delivery information.
    • Maintains close coordination with team members to ensure timely execution of product and services planning and sourcing activities.
    • Evaluates defective purchased material with quality control and other appropriate departments to determine root cause and corrective action in accordance with established procedures.
    • Secures and analyses quotations, negotiates prices, and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
    • Ensures that all regulatory requirements with respect to purchasing, storage, and transportation of materials are adhered to.
    • Develops procurement documentation in accordance with the requirements of FAR/DFAR/ISO.
    • Coordinates procurement activities with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other personnel for maximum operational effectiveness.
    • 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Purchasing, Planning, Inventory position, in the DoD/Aerospace environment.
    • This position will require a US Security Clearance

    • High level Excel skills.
    • Must possess core competence in purchasing and materials control services, MRP/ERP (Visibility preferred).
