    The opportunity Magic Leap's Site Operations roles span real estate operations, facilities management, workplace operations, travel, and excess equipment sales.

    Site Operations roles are responsible for end-to-end operations across current and potential locations Magic Leap operates, inclusive of Magic Leap's travel logistics.

    Activities include a) Scouting location through site build out oversight & negotiating/ managing office leases; b) Supporting workplace engagement activities; c) Monitoring & engaging with stakeholders on travel policy value & efficiency; d) lifecycle management of equipment; e) Supervising facilities maintenance & repair staff/ vendors; f) Partnering with business on space utilization efficiency, layouts, & modifications; g) Examining & evaluating facility suitability; h) Managing operations & capital expense budgets.

    As a Facilities Manager within our Facilities Department, you will be responsible for implementing and managing comprehensive maintenance programs, supervising facility staff, and ensuring the effective utilization of resources.

    As a Facilities Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing facility functionality, minimizing downtime, and contributing to the overall success of Magic Leap.

    What you'll do Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs, including preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, ensuring minimal disruption of productionDiagnose maintenance issues, oversee repairs, equipment overhauls, upgrades, and modificationsCreate and manage the facilities budget, prepare repair cost estimates, and procure new contracts to drive improvements, minimize operating costs, and reduce environmental impactSchedule, prioritize, and inspect work conducted by staff and contractors, maintaining safe work practices and ensuring assignments are completed on scheduleContribute to facility layout changes, including planning and overseeing the physical movement and rearrangement of machineryParticipate in energy conservation and waste management programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulationsEnsure all safety protocols are followed, report accidents and injuries promptly, and participate in safety meetings and trainingRegularly update stakeholders on project progress and manage vendor relations, including invoice approval and contract negotiationsLead a dynamic team, adeptly managing manpower scheduling, overseeing timesheet approvals, and seamlessly coordinating emergency and routine facility operationsServe as a liaison with local authorities, facilitating planning processes, securing permits, and coordinating inspections, while ensuring stakeholders are well-informed and engaged in key project decisionsThe experience you bring7 years of professional experience in Facilities OperationsAssociate degree or equivalent relevant experience in an applicable field.
