Description
Job Summary:
The Hematology Oncology Referral Specialist Coordinator is responsible for Hematology/Oncology providers internal and external referrals and orders. Duties include ensuring authorizations have been obtained and scheduling is completed in a timely manner to prevent treatment delays. Must be able to independently prioritize work load and separate STAT orders.
This role requires the ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, inbasket management, scanning and time management skills in a busy practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and two years of relevant health care or referral experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior working experience in a outpatient setting, obtaining referral authorizations and managing high volume of Epic referral WQ's, experience with Insurance agencies.
Work Days:
Monday-Friday 40 Hours a Week 8:00am-4:30pm
