Position Overview:
Responsible for providing technical support and data analysis of fleet information as well as for providing and analyzing information from on-board systems.
This position is also be responsible for downloading and analyzing VIMS information through the utilization of VIMS Supervisor and other software programs, with a focus on proactive diagnostic management and condition based monitoring.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
Investigation of and reporting on equipment failures including field research and data collection within Finning and Caterpillar
Identifying product problems and research and recommend solutions
Coordination and support for Caterpillar requests, test equipment and product improvement initiatives
Management of Caterpillar technical information and product improvement information
Technical support for maintenance personnel, technical problem solution
Generate reports from the Customer's Mine Maintenance System
Team player
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Accurate and strong attention to detail
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
A good understanding of electrical and electronics
Proficiency in all aspects of the MS office package
Software applications such as Sequel, DBS Contract Tracking, CODA
Knowledge of a CAD
Understanding of Finning products and services
Experience:
3 to 5 years experience working in a service environment
Experience in heavy equipment or plant maintenance in an industrial environment, preferably in mining or oil & gas a definite must
