    GENERAL PURPOSE
    This position is responsible for the technical aspects of PCB electrical hardware and software system design for assigned projects. This position will also have responsibility for the overall global regulatory requirements for the portfolio of branded products.

    DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
    Design and implement PCB's to meet technical performance specifications, hardware/software design milestones, and deliverables
    Develop hardware architectures, conduct requirements and design reviews, support test verification, and implementation into manufacturing
    Coordinate with 3rd party listing agencies to acquire and maintain product listings as required.
    Document designs, schematics, and layouts
    Collaborate effectively with external groups and engineers from a variety of disciplines including in some cases supplier qualification
    Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace; actively participate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations as required

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
    Demonstrated ability to perform design, verification, board bring-up, and validation
    Proficient in direct PCB design including schematic capture and layout
    Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing processes
    Must be able to function in a deadline driven environment
    Proven ability to make sound decisions to effectively resolve problems by using judgment that is consistent with standards, best practices, polices, procedures, regulation, or government laws
    Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation and written communication skills; professional presence and behavior
    Ability to operate/work in an high growth & entrepreneurial environment
    Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and MS Office suite of software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (or related e-mail system)
    Ability to work in a team environment, and leverage additional resources as needed
    Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information

    Minimum Education and Experience Required:


    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other related technical degree and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in electrical engineering; or combination of relevant education and experience.

    Hands on experience with PCB design and PCBA manufacturing.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Familiarity with designs using DSP and FPGA components
    Understanding of agency compliance issues such as FCC, CE, CSA, and UL
    PCB electronic component sourcing experience a plus
    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard.

    Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
    General office environment
    Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel
