- Supervises safety of residents and staff to assure staff is following proper safety mechanics and policies while performing job duties.
- Reviews physical and psychosocial needs of resident.
- Performs assessments as required by resident's type, schedule or change in condition.
- Coordinate individual care plan of resident with RN.
- Implements and evaluates individual plan of care.
- Identifies and provides education to resident and/or significant other.
- Coordinates resources for complete timely and effective resident care.
- Administers and documents medications per department policy.
- Collaborates with peers to ensure that responsibilities and duties are completed.
- Supervises delegated care.
- Gives complete resident report to receiving/transferring staff.
- Uses chain of command to address resident/department issues as needed.
- Completes review of chart and implements orders.
- Possesses effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Utilizes equipment properly.

- Follows resident care standards.

Summary
Performs the nursing process through data gathering, coordination of plan with Registered Nurse (RN), implementation and evaluation of safe therapeutic care for assigned residents. Assists with managing the resident care administered by other members of the nursing staff.

Minimum Education/Experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

BLS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS certification). - Within 3 months of hire into job
