    Oregon State Fire Marshal (OSFM) in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) full-time, permanent Fiscal & Budget Administrative Support Specialist (Administrative Specialist 2) position.

    As the Fiscal & Budget Administrative Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Fiscal and Budget Division. Activities include reviewing and processing various financial documents or forms for completeness and accuracy, coordinating and processing purchasing requisitions from OregonBuys, and monitoring purchasing and receipting activities for compliance.

    Minimum Qualifications (these must be described in your resume for full consideration):

    Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR

    An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR

    An equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Preferred Skills (these must be described in your resume for full consideration):

    • Proven organizational skills for a fast-paced work environment with diverse responsibilities and conflicting deadlines.
    • Experience supporting an executive-level position including managing their calendar, researching and gathering information for reports and presentations, and identifying program issues while providing recommendations for resolution.
    • Experience interpreting and explaining rules, policies, and procedures.
    • Experience communicating with various government and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
    • Proven experience managing workflows and trackers for quality assurance and efficiencies.
    • Experience making small purchases for a government agency (for example, Oregon's SPOTS card).
