In Sterling Heights, you can work on future transportation and mobility they undergo development or support our Aerospace Team by producing parts that meet the needs of our customers today and tomorrow.
With two shifts, we're the right place to look if you're a night owl or an early riser who prefers day shift.
In fact, our Sterling Heights facility is looking for two Laser Operators / Programmers. We have one opening on day shift and one opening on night shift.Determine machine parameters to cut various types of material
Evaluate part quality using blue prints and/or check aids
Deburr parts
Cut parts
Clear alarms (machine & computer)
Perform basic machine troubleshooting and computer repairs
Ensure proper tagging of finished parts for correct routing
Communicate with next shift to report any problems encountered. Update target time utilized.
Maintain continuous improvement in quality & productivity
Put safety first - always wear all required protective equipment (including safety glasses) and follow proper department procedures.
Actively participate in process troubleshooting with press room, sheet metal and inspection departments
Help and mentor/develop less experienced team members so they become experienced operators
Three (3) years previous work experience in an manufacturing / engineering environment is preferred.
Ability to work with little to no supervision
Proficient in English (reading, speaking, and writing)
