At Devereux, as a Mental Health Technician you will impact the individuals you are working with by unlocking their full potential on a daily basis by developing independent living skill and social skills to improve interactions in their daily lives.
As a Mental Health Technician at Devereux Children's Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.
Devereux Children's Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) provides programs and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis within a safe and compassionate inpatient environment.
Located in Malvern, PA this position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a therapeutic rapport with adolescents while assisting, supporting and instructing individuals in self-help, coping skills and positive behavioral interventions outlined in a clinical treatment plan.
Payrates:
FT starts at $ $20.52 hr

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders.
Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

EDUCATION &
EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma and two year's direct care experience or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services disciplineto include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, counseling.
Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
