The Outreach Program Coordinator's primary role is to maintain open communication lines with County Drug Court Judge and staff, participants and their families, treatment providers, community programs, state programs, Department of Corrections, State Attorney's Office, Public Defender's Office, medical practitioners, volunteers, students, and attending clinicians to achieve target census and admission objectives through focused referral generation and strategic brand-building initiatives:
Responsibilities:
Design and maintain a favorable public image for the organization
Coordinate all public relations activities and events
Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new business contacts
Develop and implement media relations programs
Work with other departments to help promote brand recognition
Assist in the selection of marketing and promotional materials
Coordinates participants' referrals, admission, intake screening and discharge planning.
Engages support system of the participant as a part of the treatment process to facilitate recovery.
Monitors the progress of participants through effective communication with treatment providers.
Attends treatment-planning sessions, supervision sessions and staffing.
Conducts individual progress review sessions of assigned cases.
Maintains weekly contact with program participants by completing home visits, employment visits and meetings at treatment centers.
Links participants or respective family to appropriate community resources including services such as: mental health, trauma, housing assistance, vocational counseling, public assistance, and educational training.
Collaborates with treatment staff on treatment planning.Monitors participants' progress with respective treatment plan.
Provides accurate and updated information to the court at scheduled court appearance.
Obtains releases for all parties to be contacted on behalf of each participant, in adherence with confidentiality laws.
Maintains contact with appropriate referral sources during participants' treatment in drug court.
Accurately records and maintains the required documentation in the participants' electronic files.
Reports to the court each participant's treatment progress and any non-adherence treatment issues.
Attends in service and educational training as assigned.
Involves participants in individualized treatment planning.
Conducts self in a professional manner with all participants and staff.
Communicates and problem solve via the chain of command.
Maintains acceptable overall attendance.
Assists with urinalysis drug testing.
Addresses any concerns with direct supervisor.
Reports to work alert and appropriately dressed, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
Refrains from abusive, immoral, or other unacceptable conduct, behavior or language.
Maintains flexibility and adaptability to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment.
Reports personal symptoms of suspected illness of contagious disease to supervisor.
Reports incidents, accidents and occurrences in accordance with policies and procedures.
Performs court related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in public relations or other related fields
Familiarity with social media marketing strategies
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Understand the mission of practice and plan outreach efforts to promote it
Develop in-depth knowledge of program services
Possess relationships with key potential referral partners
Develop and implement outreach activities, campaigns, and strategies to increase community awareness and engagement
Act as a liaison for external marketing campaigns and advertisements
Organize, attend, and participate in special events and advocacy
Serve as
representative/spokesperson
for the practice at meetings, special events, and with all communications
Establish and maintain relationships with local, state and federal agencies and employers to develop clear pathways for patient access to treatment
