This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant with a strong background in finance, accounting, and systems IT to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in public accounting (core audit, IT audit, risk advisory, etc.), corporate accounting & finance, or consulting in risk, information systems, digital finance transformation, or business process outsourcing (BPO). In this role, you will play a crucial part in our accounting and finance transformation strategy initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive and support digital accounting and finance transformation projects and the implementation of business process optimization initiatives.
Identify, prioritize and assist in the implementation and optimization projects to enhance data visualization and reporting capabilities.
Lead and contribute to projects focused on streamlining the Companys accounting close and reporting processes, improving overall financial controls.
Utilize expertise in systems IT to identify underutilized applications with the intent to promote efficiency in the Companys accounting and finance processes.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing business processes and organizational structure to recommend improvements, including implementing digital tools, for increased effectiveness and organizational optimization.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as external auditors, to ensure alignment of financial processes with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
Provide expertise in financial reporting and accounting policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with emerging or complex accounting standards.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in digital finance and accounting.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2-5 years of relevant experience, Big 4 audit or consulting is a plus.
Strong background in risk management, IT audit, or digital finance transformation.
Masters degree and/or CPA or relevant professional certification preferred.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and Microsoft office applications (excel, etc.).
Familiarity and experience with large ERP systems (SAP, OneStream, etc.) and financial accounting applications and technologies (Blackline, Basware, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, especially with unstructured projects, and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams from various departments, including members of senior management.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
