    Description
    We are hiring a Network Engineer II for a leading Software Development Company in La Mirada, CA.
    This is a Direct Hire position, W2
    100% remote now but will be hybrid on site in the future in La Mirada, CA
    Salary is up to $92,600 with excellent benefit package
    Monday to Friday 8 to 5 PM

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Network Engineer II is responsible for providing deployment support.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Deploy, install, and configure new network devices and/or network services or upgrade existing
    devices and services

    • Work closely with the Program Management Office to gather member requirements and
    recommend appropriate network deployment solutions based on existing service offerings

    • Partner with other members of the Network Engineering team to complete complex member
    deployment requests, such as dark fiber builds

    • Create and update network documentation needed to ensure a maintainable, streamlined, and
    efficient network

    • Participate in updating and revising policies, procedures, technical reports, and internal training
    material as needed


    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
    1. 2 years experience with network configuration, implementation, and operations

    • Experience with Cisco and Juniper routers and switches
    • Experience with OSPF or IS-IS, and IP Routing basics

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
    1. 4 years experience with network configuration, implementation, and operations

    • Cisco CCNA or JNCIA certifications
    • Experience with BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing, and EVPN
    • Experience with optical transmission systems such as WDM
    • Experience in a university and/or research environment
    • Experience with network tools such as Zabbix, Netbox, Cisco NSO, etc.
    • Basic Python or other programming knowledge
