Example of Duties

This position, under the direction of a Systems Analyst Supervisor, will effect the development, testing, and operational support of enterprise applications. The role will include responsibilities for the development, alteration, enhancement, maintenance, monitoring, and support of municipal application and web services for the assigned area of responsibility.
This includes analyzing and resolving errors at the direction of a Systems Analyst Supervisor, preparing and updating documentation, assisting customers in the use of assigned systems, providing input on areas of expertise, orchestrating testing to certify system changes, and working with project teams to transition systems to routine operations.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences

High school diploma, GED or equivalent and eight (8) years of experience in the field related to the position.

OR

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline and six (6) years of experience in the field related to the position.

OR

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position.

OR

Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position.

Employment is conditional based on a satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history.

Military Service Interview Preference:

Proof of current service can be shown by submission of a statement of service which, at a minimum, shows full name, date of birth, Social Security Number, date service began, branch of service, rank, name of command providing the information, and unit of assignment. The minimum qualifications of the position must be met for preference consideration.
