    Position Specific Description

    Position Summary: The PV Solar Field Technician Leader is responsible for leading a team of PV Solar Field Technicians in the installation, operation, and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems. They oversee team performance, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and drive efficient project execution.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a team of PV Solar Field Technicians, providing guidance and support.
  • Coordinate and assign tasks to team members, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Operate, and maintain PV solar systems according to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop installation plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Implement system enhancements and upgrades to improve efficiency.
  • Promote a positive team environment and foster teamwork and cooperation.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports on system activities and performance.
    This position will support multiple sites in the region including Storey Solar & Saint Solar and reporting to the AZ Regional Manager.

    Job Overview

    Leaders in this role provide a first line of guidance for PV Solar Field Technicians. Individuals are responsible for overseeing a team of technicians involved in the operation and maintenance of PV solar and battery energy storage equipment on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. This position ensures the constant application of, and compliance with, company policies and administrative, maintenance, and safety procedures, as well as related accepted practices and letters of instruction.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provides career and performance management of a team of PV Solar Field Technicians
  • Ensures the safety of site personnel by promoting and enforcing the corporate safety culture and policies
  • Provides front-line supervision of technicians performing preventative and corrective maintenance on solar and energy storage power generation equipment
  • Applies advanced understanding of technical process to improve equipment capabilities
  • Provides electrical safe work practices coaching
  • Serves as qualified reliever in the absence of site management
  • Leads teams in Quality Improvement (QI) projects
  • Completes special projects or complex task assignments
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve business unit objectives
  • Documents work execution and field changes utilizing Maximo
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
    Required Qualifications
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 5+ years
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
