- Assist in all daily duties for clinic care.
- Participate in any special cleaning duties.
- Provide client care by scheduling appointments, taking payments, and check-ins.
- Maintain excellent client communication.
- Record all pertinent medical, client and case related information in the patient record accurately with appropriate grammar, terms, and accurate information.
- Review medical records, estimates or discharge instructions with clients.
- Answer the phones in a courteous and informative way.
- Provide patient care under the direction of a DVM.
- Must be proficient in a variety of skills ranging from but not limited to laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental and nursing skills.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and composure in stressful situations, and ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.
- The employee must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.

Bigger Road Veterinary Center/Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Kettering/Springboro, OH As an AAHA accredited hospital, Bigger Road has provides total life care for pets. In 2009, we opened a second location in Springboro to better serve the Dayton community. We offer the latest medical and surgical advancements, as well as alternative therapies, and nutrition and behavior counseling in a fear free environment.
Shift Details: This is a full-time position (30+hours/week), shifts will be split between locations.Locations:Bigger Road Veterinary Center - 718 N. Main St., Springboro, Ohio 45066Bigger Raod Veterinary Clinic -5655 Bigger Rd., Kettering, Ohio 45440
Compensation: $15-17/hourBenefits we offer:
Job Summary: The Veterinary Assistant aids and supports the medical support team in the operation of an animal facility in accordance with Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP) hospital policy and procedures. The Veterinary Assistant also provides medical care to patients as allowed in the veterinary practice act.
