    • Use flux core wire - 045 diameter with CO2 gas on 3/8 plate to weld an open groove double bevel (45 degrees) no backing. Vertical and overhead positions. Must be able to Air Arc (Carbon Arc) in vertical position.
    • Must pass 3/8′ PL 3G and 4G test. FCAW and SMAW Dl.lAWS Standard.
    • Able to weld with supervision on structure and non-tight bulkheads (examples: fillet welds, angel butts, swash bulkheads).
    • Able to work with fitters and assist with sample fitting
    • Must be willing to be assigned to work areas outside of his specific skillset as deemed necessary by immediate supervisor and preform these duties to the best of their ability.
    • Ability to production weld with FCAW and SMAW on water tight and shell plate.
    • Able to carbon arc to the satisfaction of the welding supervisor.
    • Knowledge of shipyard welding procedures.
    • Back gouge and bevel plate acceptable to ISR General Standard Procedure.
    • Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.

    Requirements

    • Must have 3+ years expereince as Strucutral Welderin a shipyard environment
    • Must be able to pass a Drug Test
