    Plant Director (Food Manufacturing)

    Our client is a leading food manufacturing organization based in Illinois. We specialize in producing high-quality food products for consumers across the region. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Director to lead our production operations.


    Responsibilities:

    Strategic Leadership:
    Develop and execute strategic operating plans to achieve organizational objectives. Drive efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability throughout all functional areas.


    Production Management:
    Oversee all manufacturing operations, including production, machinery, processing, and packaging departments. Ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations.


    Lean Manufacturing:
    Apply lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class manufacturing processes that align with organizational goals

    Team Leadership:
    Manage and motivate a team of production and plant personnel. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.


    Safety and Quality:
    Prioritize safety and quality standards. Verify that new ingredients and packaging vendors align with corporate and plant-specific food safety requirements.


    Budget Management:
    Direct the development of budgets, succession plans, and other financial aspects to meet organizational goals

    Continuous Improvement:
    Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for operational enhancements and implement best practices.


    Reporting:
    Provide regular feedback to department leads and associates on performance against department and plant goals

    Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent food manufacturing experience.
    At least 10 years of significant food production experience.
    Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
    Previous experience as a plant manager, supervisor, or related position.
    Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality requirements.
