    Job Title: CT Technologist

    About the Role:

    The CT Technologist plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography procedures. Working under direct supervision, this position utilizes specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy, aiding radiologists in diagnosing various diseases and disorders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Operates head or body x-ray scanners to create computer-generated cross-sectional images, commonly known as CAT Scans.
    2. Performs routine and special CT exams according to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, ensuring exam productivity meets established benchmarks.
    3. Completes all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately identifying all charges associated with studies and addressing errors for seamless workflow.
    4. Educates and prepares patients for their examinations to enhance patient understanding and cooperation during testing and promote a positive patient experience.
    5. Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to eliminate errors and enhance patient outcomes.

    Requirements:

    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program.
    • Experience: (Not specified)
    • Licenses/Certifications:
      • ARRT: RT(R)(CT) RT(N)(CT)
      • NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT)
      • Combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or CNMT and ARRT(CT)
      • Combination of ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT)
    • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
