    The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.

    About This Role

    This Float Registered Nurse position offers the opportunity to bring your full self—body, mind, heart, and spirit—to your work, providing care across various departments, including Med Surg, Ortho Medical Trauma, Medical Oncology Palliative Care, Observation, and Neuro Surgical Trauma.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
    • BSN required within 48 months of hire.
    • Minimum one (1) year of RN experience in acute care M/S.
    • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
    • Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within one (1) year.
    • Current NIH Stroke certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficient with computers and quick to learn new programs.

    Work Environment

    This role requires ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients, and navigate crowded and busy rooms.
